Yesterday was a busy day for the Fries girls! We began the day by frosting some cookies to take to Daddy at work and then to Gee Gee and Papa’s house. We had fun “surprising” Daddy at his office……although we’ve learned that Grace CANNOT keep a secret! I thought I’d give it a try to see if she could actually keep something quiet. Nope. As Daddy was leaving the house Grace whispered “Ssshhhh…….we can’t tell Daddy we’re bringing him cookies!” Micah smiled at me and said “Guess I’ll see you a little later, huh?!” Oh well, we had fun non-the-less!
After we took Micah his Valentine’s we headed to DeKalb to see Gee Gee and Old Papa. Papa was working, though, so we just got to see Gee Gee. The girls had fun playing with some of their stuff that we haven’t gotten moved up to our house yet – particularly their play washing machine (Old Papa’s socks got washed and ironed yesterday by two little girls!). I tried to get some pictures of the girls while we were there, hoping that Gee Gee could help me to get Kessed to smile for the camera. No such luck. Same blank look for the most part!
Anyway, hope you’ll enjoy these pictures from yesterday………one of my favorite holidays!!

My girls always love to get a sip of my coffee. They’re starting young……..just like me! Usually that’s all they get, though, is a sip…….unless they go sneaking around and find my coffee (Kessed’s the worst about that!). I have to keep it put up if I want to finish my cup every morning! Here’s a few pics of the girls enjoying their hot chocolate (we’ve had so many COLD, SNOWY days that we’ve made a lot of hot chocolate lately!). Grace likes to say “Mommy, can I be like you and drink hot chocolate and pretend it’s coffee?!”

I have to share a funny story about Grace last night. About a week and a half ago, we mentioned something about being baptized while the girls were taking a bath. Sarah Grace asked some questions and we explained everything about what had to happen before you get baptized. We explained that you had to be sorry for the bad things that you do and you had to decide to live to make Jesus happy instead of yourself…….and that you had to ask Jesus to come into your heart. Well, a few days after she asked about that she got to see two baptisms take place at our church. It was a really cool thing how just after we had talked about it, she got to see it happen. Well, it’s still fresh in her mind and last night while I was giving the girls a bath, Sarah Grace asked me if I could baptize her in the bathtub (just pretend, of course). I said “Well………” and then she blurted out “It’s….it’s ok, Mom……..JUST PRETEND I already asked Jesus in my heart!!” I about lost it! It was so funny! But it’s also pretty neat to see her start to realize the process of salvation. She’s asked many, many spiritual questions over the past few months and we pray that the Lord would continue to draw her into a relationship with himself very soon! Anyway, just thought you’d get a kick out of that!
Here’s a couple pictures from this morning……….
