Pony Express Day

It was “Pony Express Day” at school yesterday, so Sarah Grace got to dress cowboy!!  Thanks to her cowgirl friend, Ashtyn, she had something to wear! :)

Sarah Grace’s First Book 2

Yesterday morning Sarah Grace proudly presented this to me!  ”I wrote a book, Mommy!” she said.  She had to just tell me the rest of the story because she ran out of room to write.  It was so sweet!

In case you don’t understand her “phonetics” – here’s the story:

The Lost Lamd (Lamb – she keeps getting her b’s backwards)

Tidl (Title)

“Thar (there) wans (once) was a lost lamd (lamb) and here was how she got lost.  Thar (there) was a boy woching (watching) her but she just went off because she wanted to see nacher (nature).  The green patches are the “nature”! :)  She proceeded to tell me the rest of the story – that the lamb was stuck in a thorny bush but the shepherd got him out and when she finished telling that part, she left, drew this picture, came back and taped it to the top of her “book”:

“Now the lamb is safe in her pen,” she told me!

I know I’m a little biased, but I’m so proud of her and just praying for God to do amazing things with her mind, her persistence and her incredible determination!

Making Dirt ‘n Worms 1

Sarah Grace got this very fantastic cookbook for her birthday (along with all the ingredients for this recipe!)  from Grandma Cheryl and we’ve had fun trying many of the recipes!

The girls did pretty much the whole thing by themselves!  I turned the mixer off and on and just supervised……..they are going to be much better dessert makers than I!

Kessed’s always looking for a “lick”!!

The finished product!

Kessed Ready to Shop 2

This is Kessed after I asked her to get dressed and ready to go shopping.  Can you say DIVA?!?!
