We found the girls a few weeks ago out in the back yard doing this…….

They had removed all their toys from the shed and were sweeping it out!  Hope they enjoy this kind of work for a long time!!

It must’ve worn Kessed out, though, because this is how I found her next – relaxin’ in the sun!

Apple Orchard Field Trip 4

Sarah Grace had her first field trip last week to the Apple Orchard!  I’m just now getting time to finally post the pictures!  We had lots of fun and Sarah Grace was thrilled to pick and eat an apple right from the tree!

(Just after I took this picture, she said “Stop it, Mom…..I’m havin’ too much fun!”)

Oh, no!!  She’ll be taller than me way too soon!!!!

A few kids (mine!) had to walk clear to the end of the row to find the perfect apple!

Sarah Grace washed and cut up the apple with a butter knife AS SOON AS she got home!  She couldn’t wait to eat it!

Labor Day Camping 0

We go camping just about every Labor Day with our friends, Jason and Mandi and their kids, Ashtyn and Bode.  Ashtyn was Sarah Grace’s first-ever friend, and my family and Mandi’s family have been friends for a long time.  We used to go camping and canoeing together when Mandi and I were kids!    We camped again with them this year……..packed up an unbelieveable amount of stuff for a one-night, less than-24-hours-at-the-campsite trip and headed up to Big Lake!  It’s so nice, though, to just get there and sit around the fire and not have anything to do for a short time!  This year we brought along another couple with us, John and Kasey.  John’s a pro-camper, but this was Kasey’s first time!  We were really nice to her, though, and didn’t take her snipe hunting or anything!

Don’t they look thrilled?  Our fishing trip lasted maybe a grand total of 30 minutes, though Ashtyn DID catch a nice catfish!

Strange Sleepers 0

The girls are always falling asleep in strange and funny ways, but this beats them all.  I have a TON of pictures of all the crazy ways they sleep (Yes, I’m the kind of mom who like to flash bright lights at their sleeping angels……helps them be able to sleep through anything!!  I only do it when it’s absolutely necessary!!)  Anyway, this is hilarious……….apparently they were playing like the had babies in their tummies or something!
