National Day of Prayer

We are so blessed to attend a Christian school that is very missions-focused. All throughout the year the kids have been learning about and praying for China. Sarah Grace has taken this very seriously and Kessed is even apt to remind us if we forget to pray for the people in China to know God! To culminate this year’s mission focus, the entire school took part in a Prayer Walk today for the nation of China and for our own country and leadership. The kids had the option of getting people to sponsor them during the Prayer Walk. For every $6 they raised, they could send 1 Bible to China. Sarah Grace was able to raise enough to send 17 Bibles!!!! Thank you to those who sponsored her! We’ve been so thrilled to teach her that the prayers we have been praying – that the people in China who don’t know God would come to know Him and love Him – are being answered as the Bibles are being sent over, since we can know God through His Word! She’s been praying “……..and let the Bible get to China quickly.” Oh, what a blessing to see her heart excited for people around the world to know God! And how grateful we are for the mission heart of SJCS!!!! Here are some photos from today:
We began by having a joint picnic with both AM and PM preschool classes together while Mrs. Bocquin taught “Bible Time.” She talked about how God speaks to us and one way is through the Bible (further enforcement of what we’ve been teaching Sarah Grace about these Bibles and how the Chinese people can know God through His Word!!)

On our way to the track where we Prayer-Walked

We stopped at certain points along the track and prayed for specific things

Sarah Grace, her friend Annie, and Annie’s Mom praying for the children in China to know God

After the prayer walk, Mrs. Bocquin let the kids run around the track if they wanted to! Sarah Grace was all for that. She did an entire lap without stopping!
