Grace and Kessed love to play “house” now.  They each like being the mommy and they actually do well taking turns playing the “mommy” role.  They spend a lot of their day taking care of their babies, going pretend shopping with them, giving the babysitter (usually me) instructions on how to take care of their 18 babies, when they need to eat, take a bath, etc., etc.  But Grace thinks she’s big stuff now that she can do a  real “mommy thing” like helping Kessed buckle and unbuckle her carseat (this actually is quite handy for me most of the time!).  I just happened to have my camera handy one of the last times she did this!

With them playing “house” now, though, I’ve been reduced to “that other mommy.”  They’ll be playing along and Kessed will call for mommy. Grace will reply “yes, honey……” (or something of the like) and when Kessed actually need me – the real mommy – she’ll say, “No……that other mommy!”
